reflexive pronouns

Los reflexive pronouns son aquellos pronombres que se utilizan cuando la acción del verbo recae sobre el propio sujeto de la oración. Además también se suelen utilizar cuando se quiere enfatizar que el sujeto ha realizado la acción y no otra persona.

Para utilizar un pronombre reflexivo debemos tener como referencia el sujeto y el pronombre personal que lo podría sustituir.

Expresar que la acción del verbo la realiza y la recibe la misma persona.

En este caso los pronombres reflexivos se pueden traducir como (me, te, se, nos y os). El pronombre reflexivo siempre va a continuación del verbo principal.

The reflexive pronouns are those pronouns that are used when the action of the verb falls on the subject of the sentence itself. In addition they are also used when you want to emphasize that the subject has performed the action and not another person.

To use a reflexive pronoun we must have as a reference the subject and the personal pronoun that could replace it.

Express that the action of the verb is performed and received by the same person.

In this case reflexive pronouns can be translated as (me, you, you, us, and you). The reflexive pronoun always follows the main verb.

6. My sisters like to look at themselves in the mirror. (A mis hermanas les gusta verse ellas mismas en el espejo)
7. She cut herself with the same knife. (Ella misma se cortó con el mismo cuchillo)
8. The soldier shot himself by accident. (El soldado se disparó él mismo por accidente)
9. She hasn’t been herself lately. (No ha sido ella misma últimamente)
10. You will hurt yourself if you are not careful enough. (Tú te lastimarás si no eres cuidadoso)

2. I myself send the package. (Yo mismo envié el paquete)
3. We ourselves will lend you the money. (Nosotros mismos te prestaremos el dinero)

6. I myself will cut the grass twice a week. (Yo mismo cortaré el césped dos veces por semana)
